This is Scizor, card 205/197 from Obsidian Flames, the 2023 Scarlet and Violet era set. Scizor is a long standing fan favourite that first arrived as an evolution of Scyther, and here it is given the Illustration Rare treatment.
Illustration Rares are one of the most popular additions to modern Pokemon sets. They open up the borders and place the Pokemon within a full art scene, showing it in motion or in a fitting setting rather than a static pose. The focus is firmly on creative artwork, which is exactly why collectors enjoy chasing them.
The 205/197 numbering sits above the base set size of 197, placing this Scizor in the bonus rare range that extends past the main set. That makes it a chase card for collectors working through Obsidian Flames, and a great pick for anyone who appreciates striking illustration. Scizor has a sharp, recognisable design that displays well and adds character to any binder.
