This is Pikachu VMAX, card TG17 from the Trainer Gallery subset of Lost Origin. The Trainer Gallery is a numbered run (TG17 of TG30) that sits apart from the main set, gathering some of the most collectable artwork of the era into one gallery. With Pikachu as the face of the franchise, any new Pikachu card draws strong interest, and a VMAX version sits near the top of the list.
As a VMAX, this card represents the Dynamax evolution of a Pokemon V, carrying very high HP and a powerful attack. VMAX cards are among the larger, more dramatic chase cards of the Sword and Shield period, and the Trainer Gallery treatment pairs that format with character focused art.
Collectors look for TG17 to complete the Lost Origin Trainer Gallery, to build a Pikachu collection, or simply for the artwork that makes the Trainer Gallery so popular.
