Piers is a Trainer Gallery card from Astral Radiance, an English Sword and Shield era expansion. This is card number TG28 out of a Trainer Gallery subset numbered to TG30. The Trainer Gallery was a special section added to several Sword and Shield sets, featuring alternate artwork that often pairs Pokemon with well known characters from the games.
Trainer Gallery cards are collected for their distinctive look and their separate TG numbering, which sits apart from the main set. Piers is a recognisable Gym Leader from the Galar region, and his Trainer Gallery card gives collectors a character focused piece with artwork in the style that defines the subset. As one of the higher numbered cards in the run, sitting near the end of the TG30 range, it is a card that completionists keep an eye out for. Anyone working through the Astral Radiance Trainer Gallery, or collecting Galar region characters, will appreciate adding Piers to their collection.
