Flapple VMAX is a top tier card from Battle Styles, a Sword and Shield era set. VMAX cards represent the most powerful evolution of a V Pokemon, with a very high health total and a signature attack, and they sat at the head of the rarity ladder during their run.
This is the Rainbow printing, numbered 164/163. The number sits above the set total of 163, which means it is a secret rare. The Rainbow treatment gives the card its textured multi coloured finish, the look collectors recognise as the rainbow rare style. Rainbow VMAX cards are pulled far less often than the standard versions, which keeps them as genuine chase cards for anyone completing a set.
Collectors look for the Flapple VMAX rainbow as a high end addition to a Battle Styles collection or as a centrepiece for fans of the card. The combination of the VMAX format with the rainbow secret rare finish gives it lasting display appeal well beyond the competitive table.
