This is a Basic Water Energy from Paldea Evolved, an early Scarlet and Violet era set. Energy cards power the attacks of Pokemon in play, and while standard Energy is included in most products, special printings like this one are produced as genuine chase cards.
This printing is numbered 279/193, sitting above the set total of 193, which places it in the secret rare range. It carries both the Gold and Hyper Rare tags, the gold textured finish that marks the very top of a Scarlet and Violet era set. Gold hyper rare Energy cards are pulled at a much lower rate than the standard versions, and many collectors seek them out specifically to complete the gold run of a set.
For collectors, gold Energy cards have become a popular focus, offering a clean and striking look that suits a full set display or a dedicated Energy collection. This Basic Water Energy fits both goals as one of the Paldea Evolved hyper rares.
