Aerodactyl VSTAR comes from Lost Origin, a Sword and Shield era set remembered for introducing the Lost Zone mechanic and a strong line of VSTAR cards. The VSTAR mechanic gives a Pokemon a single powerful VSTAR Power, either an attack or an ability, that can be used once per game, which made cards like this a key part of competitive decks during their run.
This is the 199/196 print, and because the first number is higher than the set total of 196, it is a secret rare. It carries the Rainbow finish, the colourful textured treatment reserved for the secret rare slots at the very end of the set. That combination of Rainbow styling and VSTAR power makes it one of the more recognisable chase cards from Lost Origin.
Collectors look for it both as a centrepiece for a Lost Origin set and as a standout example of the Rainbow secret rare style.
